Math Lessons
The driving force behind our math lessons will be the Common Core State Standards. I will be pulling from a variety of curriculum sources to teach from and encourage mastery in each of the strands and standards. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions. Our first strand will be Ratios and Proportions.
For math practice at home, Milano kids can work on reflexmath.com. They sign in with my name "audreym" and then select their name under the Milano Homeroom section. We are working on multiplication and division facts this trimester.

Their password is their student number from school. This program has them practice add math facts at once (addition , subtraction, multiplication and division).

Specific concepts in math can be worked on through a website called buzzmath.com. Kids will log in and go through the 6th grade "textbook" online to look for the concept they would like extra practice on... sometimes these pages will be assigned as homework as well. Kids will log in using their school login and password.
